Nilpeter recently concluded a what the company says was a highly successful exhibition at Labelexpo Americas 2024 in Rosemont, IL, USA, just outside Chicago. The press manufacturer’s focus at the show was on its latest flexo printing technologies. According to Nilpeter, the strong demand for its solutions, particularly in flexo printing, reflects the company’s ability to bridge the gap between traditional flexo technology and digital printing, through new technological advancements.

Throughout the event, Nilpeter demonstrated its commitment to pushing the boundaries of flexo technology. Highlights included the introduction of the FA-17 and FA-26, both of which drew attention. The FA-17 features design enhancements and versatile capabilities, while the FA-26, making its debut in the US, impressed attendees with its ability to handle short-run flexible packaging and labels with, speed, ease and precision.

Lenny DeGirolmo, Nilpeter’s president in the USA, comments, “We’re being flooded with inquiries from customers eager to see our machines in action. The response has been so positive that many are scheduling demos at our Technology Center in Ohio, where they can experience firsthand the capabilities of our presses.”

One of the key talking points at the event was Nilpeter’s ongoing campaign, which has evolved from “The Future of Flexo” to a stronger message: “The Future is Flexo.” This shift signifies the company’s confidence in flexo technology’s role in shaping the future of the printing industry.

Martin Teilberg, global marketing manager at Nilpeter, says, “Our message at Labelexpo was clear – flexo is our core product. The success of this exhibition reinforces that we are leading the industry, and our latest campaign drives home the point that flexo is not just the future; it is the present.”

Nilpeter looks forward to hosting more customers at its Technology Center in Ohio, offering hands-on experiences that further highlights Nilpeter’s belief that flexo printing remains essential in today’s printing landscape.

Highlights from Nilpeter’s Stand:

• The FA-17 Flexo Press: Making its first appearance in the US, the FA-17 is an updated model from Nilpeter’s FA-Line. This version features a range of design and operational improvements that enhance its flexibility and performance. With its modular design, the FA-17 can be customized to meet various printing needs, making it an ideal solution for label and packaging printers. The machine’s user-friendly interface and automation features make production faster and more efficient, appealing to modern print shops aiming for higher productivity.

• The FA-26 Flexo Press: As the FA-26 made its US debut at the show, it was met with significant interest due to its advanced capabilities in handling short-run flexible packaging and labels. This high-performance press is designed for printers looking to add value through inline printing for products such as pouches, shrink sleeves, and more. With its robust construction and sophisticated printing technology, the FA-26 is perfect for converters who require premium quality, even on shorter production runs, helping them to reduce waste and maximize profitability, Nilpeter says.

• The Digital Shadow Technology: A step towards digital transformation in flexo printing, Nilpeter’s Digital Shadow technology creates a virtual replica of a physical press, allowing users to track machine usage, monitor performance, and predict maintenance needs. Beyond just data collection, Digital Shadow provides powerful insights that help optimize press operations, increase efficiency, and reduce downtime. It also serves as a training tool, offering new operators the chance to learn without risking disruptions to live production.

• VISION Camera Solution: This high-speed register system maintains perfect color registration, even when working with ultra-flexible materials that can be challenging to print on. Whether the press is accelerating or decelerating, Vision keeps the print aligned, reducing the need for manual adjustments and minimizing waste. It’s a valuable tool for maintaining quality and maximizing throughput.
